Terms & Conditions

Please read these guidelines and bidding rules carefully before listing a vehicle or placing a bid on MotoBid.

Last Updated: June 5, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the website, registering a user account, listing a vehicle, or submitting a bid, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. If you do not accept these rules, you are prohibited from utilizing our auction services.

2. Registration and Account Security

Users must provide authentic name, active email verification, and a valid phone number during sign-up. You are solely responsible for maintaining the privacy of your credentials and credentials security. Dealership accounts must submit regional GST registration numbers during onboarding.

3. Bidding Rules & Consoles

Bidders agree to adhere to the following rules:

  • Each bid must exceed the current highest bid by the specified minimum increment (e.g. ₹5,000).
  • Auctions utilize an Auto-Extension rule where bids placed in the final 15 minutes extend the timer by an additional 15 minutes.
  • A bidder cannot retract their bid. Under no circumstances can a bid be canceled once recorded in the live stream.

4. Seller Commitments & Reserve Prices

Sellers must represent vehicle parameters (e.g., registration years, accident history, alteration logs) with absolute integrity. If the final bid meets or exceeds the hidden Reserve Price, the seller is contractually obligated to sell the car. Listings cannot be modified or deleted while active.

5. Payments & Secure Escrow

The winning bidder must deposit the transaction sum plus the 2% platform commission into the secure platform escrow account within 48 hours of auction completion. Failure to deposit within this window constitutes default. The funds are released to the seller only after title transfer and vehicle handover verification.

6. Prohibited Practices

Platform users are strictly prohibited from engaging in **bid shilling** (bidding on their own vehicle directly or via agents to artificially inflate pricing), collusion with other bidders, submitting false inspection requests, or harassing other users via the messaging portal.

7. Modifications to Service

MotoBid reserves the right to modify platform commission levels, delay auction completion parameters in cases of system maintenance, or cancel active listings that fail validation audits at any time.
