Navigate to the vehicle details page, review the condition log, enter your bid amount inside the bid console (making sure it satisfies the minimum increment), and click "Place Bid". The console updates in real time to show the highest bid.
To ensure fair bidding and prevent last-second sniping, MotoBid implements an auto-extension rule. If a bid is placed in the final 15 minutes of an auction, the countdown timer automatically extends by 15 minutes. This repeats until all active bidding ceases.
Some listings have a pre-configured "Buy It Now" price set by the seller. If a bidder chooses to purchase the vehicle at this exact price, the live auction terminates immediately, and the bidder secures the car without waiting for the timer to expire.
Switch your active role to "Seller" using the account switcher or menu. Navigate to your dashboard, click "List Your Car", fill out the basic specification details, upload condition photos, and define your reserve price. An inspector will schedule a verification visit before the auction goes live.
The reserve price is the hidden minimum amount a seller is willing to accept for the vehicle. If the highest bid at the auction's end fails to meet this reserve, the seller is not obligated to sell, and the auction status marks as "Expired" (allowing a relist or price negotiation).
Once bidding begins, key values (like Reserve Price or Auction End Time) cannot be changed, and listings cannot be canceled to preserve auction integrity. You can edit vehicle details before the inspection or contact support in cases of title discrepancies.
Our inspection engineers evaluate the vehicle across six categories: Engine & Transmission, Suspension & Steering, Brakes & Tires, Body Panels (original paint vs repaint checks), Electrical Systems, and Interior Cabin. Structural chassis damage checks are strictly performed.
To keep our online auction efficient, physical test drives are not offered directly. However, we publish a highly detailed inspection card showing exact paint thickness levels, suspension diagnostics, and an engine startup recording, allowing you to bid with confidence.
MotoBid charges a flat platform transaction fee of 2% of the winning bid amount, capped at a maximum of ₹25,000. This covers registration log verification, escrow security services, and ownership transfer paperwork support.
Once an auction completes, the winning bidder deposits the vehicle amount into our secure, interest-free escrow account. The funds are held by the platform until the physical vehicle is delivered and RTO registration paperwork is initiated, protecting both parties.
